Upon completion, the proposed large town centre, mixed-use Redhill Station redevelopment project will add a 45,000-square-foot Waitrose store and 150 residential apartments. Estimated to cost £40 million ($61.65 million), the proposed redevelopment of Redhill station would also include a new ticket hall and multi-storey car park and environmental improvements.

The redeveloped Redhill station aims at providing passengers better access, improved station facilities and better links with the rest of the town centre.

The development is seen as a major regeneration project for the locality with a unique opportunity to provide a bold new station as a gateway to the town centre.

The planning application has been submitted by Solum Regeneration, which is a joint venture between Network Rail and Kier Property. The construction work is anticipated to start on the site in early 2014.
