The chair is manufactured by Copenhagen-based furniture designer and manufacturer Engelbrechts. The piece measuring 120cm in height incorporates a look of simplicity. It has secured the award after making a few alterations in its original design.
The base of the lounge chair has been changed to a four-star base formed of polished aluminium. The new base can be cleaned with ease and comes with an optional automatic return swivel. The backrest has also been streamlined as part of the new design while its silhouette has also been highlighted leading to a light and simple appearance.
The right armrest of the chair incorporates the shape of a plateau which serves a host of functions such as a laptop table or closes in like a shell. Plateau offers upholstery choices in fabric and leather and is available at a cost ranging from £2,086 ($3,223.14) excluding VAT. It is most ideal to be used in contemporary décor.
