Yacht maker Platinum Marine Services, the designer of the boat, bagged this project by a local Vancouver firm who plan to use the vessel for exclusive charters.
Designed exclusively for entertaining, the super yacht includes a 65 inch plasma TV, 900 gallon custom hot tub, epicurean style galley that is designed to showcase the creations of the gourmet chef and allow social interaction with guests.
The yacht has four main cabins, one VIP stateroom, accommodation for up to six crew, minimal furniture re-configuration, and entertaining areas that can quickly adapt to accommodate overnight guests on weekly charters or large daily rental groups.
The interior of the vessel is designed by Kansas-based JS Westoff and Company. The electrical and domestic systems is designed and built in-house at Platinum Marine Services.
The yacht was stripped down to the bare hull for a complete repair including new bulkheads, stringers, web frames and new structures; a bulbous bow is designed to increase fuel economy and improve sea keeping.
The yacht is powered by C-18 Caterpillar engines that produce 1050 hp per side. The sea trials of the yacht showed that cruising all day at 12 knots can burn 35 gallons per hour, on both mains.
