Designed to create a classical contemporary ambience, the hotel’s interior balances eclectic British sophistication and sleek modern style. Guest rooms feature rich walnut or sycamore paneling and tartan draperies for a warm, welcoming feel while the in-room technology provides state-of-the art functionality with 42 inch LCD televisions, wired and wireless Internet access and a personalised system for managing lighting and air conditioning.

Axor Citterio was the ideal fit for the finely detailed bathrooms which feature delicate marble and brushed steel, enhanced by walnut and marble cabinetry and vanity mirrors with integrated televisions. There are over 70 individual items bearing the Axor Citterio label including a wide choice of mixers for basins, bidets and baths, as well as coordinating showers, showerpipes, bath tubs and accessories. All are characterised by a strong geometric design with gleaming, perfectly crafted chrome surfaces and a harmonious combination of straight angular edges next to rounded curves. Designed to perfectly blend into both modern and classic interiors, the line radiates luxury as an expression of quality, workmanship, expertise and added value.

The 3-hole basin mixer (shown) features a fixed spout with separate hot and cold handles. The cross-head design is tactile and easy to operate, and thanks to Hansgrohe EcoSmart technology the mixer delivers just 5 litres per minute of air-enriched water (compared to the average of 14 l/pm at 3 bar pressure). Complementing Axor Citterio, the overhead and hand shower of choice are from the iconic Raindance AIR family from Hansgrohe. This features generous dimensions and pioneering air-injection which infuses every water droplet to create a voluminous spray that feels natural and invigorating, while also using around 10% less water. EcoSmart models are also available which further reduce water-consumption significantly.

Outside of the guestrooms, further hotel facilities include ‘Amaranto’, designed to be a new city hotspot for cuisine and cocktails with restaurant, bar and lounge and what is described as the most dazzling urban spa in the UK. Crowning the building on the 10th floor, the stunning glass-walled spa offers a rooftop retreat with 360-degree views.

Ben Reed, Contract Manager responsible for the project comments, “It has been a privilege to be involved with this tremendous new hotel. From start to finish we have worked very closely with the client’s designers at Reardon Smith Architects, listened to their design requirements and Hansgrohe have been able to meet Four Seasons exacting standards within the bathroom. As a result we have been able to deliver a great finish to these luxurious bathrooms. This has to be one of the most exciting new five star hotels to open in London this year”.
