Among the numerous German design awards presented each year, the highest distinction is the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany. This year’s winners include Bene‘s RF corridor wall designed by Johannes Scherr. The awards will be presented on February 13, 2009 at the opening of the Ambiente Trade Fair in Frankfurt. The RF corridor wall creates physical structure without psychological separation and thereby facilitates the interplay between communication and concentration. It enables flexible configurations and demonstrates sophisticated design and smart technology. RF corridor eliminates vertical profiles and produces an aesthetically sheer appearance. The transparent glass panels give the wall its appealing aesthetic. RF corridor wall is supported by horizontal aluminum profiles attached to the floor and ceiling. Despite its minimalist design the RF corridor wall meets all building regulations and construction requirements
