Remmelt’s style is minimalist, cosmopolitan and industrial. The interior designer worked extremely hard to convert the building into an exclusive design studio. Covering an area of over 200m², the studio is a showcase for innovative made-to-measure solutions for all kinds of interior space.

Remmelt uses superior quality materials, and the various interior design elements are multi-functional and technically innovative. Unique details are lovingly incorporated, exuding luxury. The Solid Surface HI-MACS® material was also used to create the interior fittings. Kitchen worktops, bookshelves, cupboards, bathroom walls and floors and a table were made from this robust and impervious acrylic stone.

Remmelt uses superior quality materials, and the various interior design elements are multi-functional and technically innovative. Unique details are lovingly incorporated, exuding luxury. Remmelt van der Wal: “I listen to the client, we discuss the project together in great detail and look for solutions that will inspire the client. Every individual element of an interior design has its own function, and needs to work with the mood of the overall concept. My designs are not restricted by standard measurements. This gives me the freedom to create an overall interior design that fits seamlessly into the client’s individual lifestyle.” The Solid Surface HI-MACS® material was also used to create the interior fittings. Kitchen worktops, bookshelves, cupboards, bathroom walls and floors and a table were made from this robust and impervious acrylic stone. The interior designer opted for the shade Alpine White: “I chose this particular material for its uniform quality and characteristics, which make it resistant to external effects. It stays looking brand new. I love this shade of white – there are no other colours in it, making it perfect for a wide range of applications.”

Leading partnerships
The interior designer works with a network of experts. He called on the experience of Dutch retailer Baars & Bloemhoff – exclusive distributors of HI-MACS® in The Netherlands – for all of his designs using HI-MACS®. Remmelt uses products from well-known names such as Gaggenau, FLOS, KitchenAid and Muurbloem for his interiors. He also works closely with the Peduzzi Company, which produces made-to-measure interior fittings.
For example, the Muurbloem design studio created a sand carpet for the opening in May 2011. The public square in front of the building was decorated with a unique design, which gradually faded as the opening celebrations went on. The Rademakers gallery showed a collection from their latest “Candy Shop” exhibition of the work of top Dutch photographer Carli Hermès.

Opening times: Tuesday-Friday 10:00 to 18:00; Saturday 10:00 to 17:00.
