Armitage Associates were commissioned to alter the layout of the main clinic of the Dental Hospital to create an open plan space that would streamline working practices, whilst creating a bright, warm atmosphere for patients. It was also important to create a relaxed environment, particularly for the children who attend the clinic.
Lena Armitage of Armitage Associates explains why Tarkett was chosen for the flooring: “Tarkett’s Veneto XF was specified because it is an environmentally friendly product which is extremely durable and resilient. It also comes in a wide choice of colours, and we’re very pleased with the overall finish of the floor in the new clinic.”
Tarkett has been producing linoleum flooring for over 100 years and has pioneered a number of innovations, including a new surface treatment – XF. This gives Tarkett’s linoleum an extremely strong surface toughness and excellent resistance to abrasions, stains and chemicals. No initial wax or polish is needed and the ease of cleaning means maintenance costs can be cut by up to 30%. Water, energy and detergent consumption is also reduced by up to 50%, helping to give linoleum xf one of the best lifecycle costs on the market.
