Developed as part of Carmarthenshire County Council’s £240 million Modernising Education Provision Programme, the school was formed by the amalgamation of two schools in the local area. The new school will have a capacity for 1,600 pupils and will feature an extended and refurbished leisure facility incorporating a competition-standard swimming pool and new external sporting facilities including tennis courts, all-weather pitch, running track and playing fields. .
Euroclad’s lightweight standing seam roof system provides a high performance roof construction with excellent acoustic characteristics. The threat from fire is also greatly reduced, due to the non-combustible* insulation incorporated in the system. .
Speaking about the project, Dale Evans, Euroclad Area Manager said; “Euroclad’s strength in supplying high performance solutions for the education sector continues to grow. Fire security and acoustic performance is being increasingly demanded for school buildings and these are key performance benefits delivered by our standing seam roofing systems. When you also consider the aesthetic qualities of the system you can see why it is being increasingly specified.” .
Standing seam roof systems can be installed on many types of buildings and are ideal for projects where materials are required in long lengths. For more information visit www.euroclad.com .
