The 12-storey tower covers an area of 680,000 square feet. The building will house a total of 216 total inpatient rooms including 240 available beds with most of the rooms being private. The patient rooms will feature a family zone with pull-out sleeper sofas, lounges equipped with WiFi service in addition to kitchens and playrooms in waiting spaces. The tower incorporates a rooftop viewing garden and soothing décor and is designed to allow sweeping views from all parts of the facility.

One floor of the tower will facilitate emergency services including 79 private treatment rooms and four trauma rooms. The same floor also comprises imaging equipment for conducting X-ray or CT scan, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine along with non-invasive cardio pulmonary imaging. The equipments will cost over $20 million.

Two floors have been exclusively dedicated for surgical and interventional procedures and features areas for 28 operating and procedural rooms. A room of that wing comprises a C-arm for real-time X-rays. The tower will also be the first in US to combine the surgery and interventional procedures in “hybrid ORs which were earlier done in separate units.

Other two floors of the facility will comprise 48 private patient rooms for intensive care with six dialysis stations. There will be 168 rooms for specialty-care patients encompassing four levels of the tower which includes cardiac telemetry, neurotelemetry, stroke, orthopedics and general surgery.

The tower will feature unique construction features. The seismic design will allow each floor of the tower to move up to two feet laterally, independent of other floors, minimising the risk of any structural impact from an earthquake. The elevator will be designed to accommodate an entire trauma code team. The building is also designed to take advantage of environmentally-conscious opportunities such as water and energy usage, variable fan drives, and energy-efficient glazing.

The emergency room at the Providence Regional Pacific Campus will be closed on 16 June 2011 after the opening of the tower while the Pacific and Colby Campus emergency rooms will be integrated inside the new tower. The building is equipped with the latest medical equipment and technology worth $60 million. The structure is slated to be the tallest in Snohomish County.
