The new 130 square metre store is housed at China’s Citric Square Mall, which is located at the intersection between Nanjing West and Changde Road.
Taking inspiration from Pucci’s native Florence, the interior of the store provides a flavor of the Mediterranean to the people of Shanghai.
To create a contemporary retail ambience, the store’s flooring has been designed with Flowcrete China’s epoxy terrazzo material. The intricate flooring pattern features an angular geometric design in a contrasting palette of dove grey and magnolia.
The design has been created by securing copper strips along the surface of the substrate in the desired pattern and later installing the cost-effective terrazzo material to the edges of the appropriate blocks to provide durability and performance.
Complementing the stores aqua hues, the floor has been finished with diamond ground in situ, which exposes a wealth of decorative aggregates including mother-of-pearl and marble chippings to provide an eye-catching platform underfoot.
Representing the brand’s first venture into mainland China, the Pucci store has been designed to bring the spirit of Renaissance Italy to the growing Chinese fashion market.
The brand has announced plans to launch five further stores in China over the next five years, with the next store opening in Beijing.
