Pyroguard is a range of fire resistant glazing products, providing access to large tested sizes which facilitate the creation of striking architectural designs as well as ensure Building Regulation compliance. This includes a Butt Jointed System which has been developed for use in impressive glazed partitions. Offering a near seamless joint, this head and bottom rail system is certified for internal use with aluminium (E30) as well as timber and steel (EI30 and EI60).
All Pyroguard products are subjected to sound insulation testing with some able to achieve a reduction of up to 45dB. The proven insulating properties also provide excellent thermal performance, with all products achieving Document L compliant U-values.
A key feature of the Pyroguard showcase at Clerkenwell Design Week will be the recently launched Pyroguard-T – a range of high performance fire glass products providing access to some of the largest tested sizes available on the market today.
A gel-filled product manufactured with toughened glass, Pyroguard-T is extremely robust during installation and claims to offer excellent impact strength of up to 1B1 (under European standards). Spanning fire ratings of E30 to EI 120, Pyroguard-T is manufactured to bespoke sizes by CGI International and shipped straight to site. Offering the additional benefit of large format applications, Pyroguard-T is certified for use in individual pane sizes up to and including 3m in height or 3.6 square metres in area.
Visitors to ‘The Planet Showroom’ will also have the opportunity to access the Pyroguard ‘Applications and Tests Selector,’ an online specification support tool designed to aid the identification of the correct fire glass product for a specific application.
