QT Sydney is the only Sydney hotel to be a member of the exclusive Design Hotels. Located above the State Theatre and Gowings on Market & George Streets in Sydney, the hotel will feature a completely restored exterior with old world charm while the interiors will employ new technology, distinctive art mediums and latest design. The design of the hotel is off-set by the historical features of the building and employs a mix of quirky artefacts, bespoke furniture, graphics and colour and art.
The 200-room hotel has retained the original timber floors of the original Gowings Building. All the rooms in the Gowings Building will be bright and airy with eccentric touches and embellishments. The adjacent State Theatre rooms will feature exclusively designed carpets and rugs along with bowler hat lamps and cheeky accessories.
The hotel also features a modern day dining venue called Gowings Bar and Grill, a European style cafe named Parlour Lane Roasters and a wine bar. spaQ, a spa is also included.
