Heritage Plaza, the 226,998 square feet retail centre owned by Regency Centers, will receive a top-to-bottom transformation. This will include new exterior façade, improved architectural components, canvas awnings, new landscaping, new monument, building and wayfinding signage and wider pedestrian walkways. The retail centre will also receive focused gathering areas with benches, al fresco dining and sidewalk eating areas. The design of the renovation project is led by Nadel Architects and Hirsch & Associates, Inc.

The $10 million renovation of Ralph’s-anchored Heritage Plaza is scheduled for completion in November 2011. Regency Centers VP, Gregg Sadowsky, has commented that the refurbishment will offer a new life for Heritage Plaza as a vibrant community-driven center located at one of Irvine’s busiest intersections. Ralph’s, spanning 44,376 square feet, will undergo interior remodeling in June alongside the centre renovation.

The 1970-built Heritage Plaza was acquired by Regency in 1999. This is the first time the centre is undergoing a redevelopment scheme. Heritage Plaza offers quality restaurant, office and retail space in the Irvine area.

Regency Centers is a national developer, owner and operator of grocery-anchored and community shopping centers offering restaurant and retail space in Irvine and in other top markets throughout the US.
