Scope of the project was to revamp the top five floors of the Omni Austin Hotel, located in the heart of downtown at 8th and San Jacinto, which houses private suites. The renovation of the suite floors entailed a total outlay of about $1 million per floor.
The renovation of the suites was designed by Leo Daly. The renovated suites have fresh urban design with a flair of residential Hill County kind of style. The design of the suites boast a Texan flavour, which is accentuated by means of hardwood floors, driftwood accents and barn door entries to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The suites are accessible through separate elevators.
The décor of the hotel and other amenities have a rustic essence of Austin. Omni Hotels has also added four specialty Fitness Suites that feature treadmill, plasma screen TV, P90X videos, yoga mats, resistance bands and strength and stability balls.
The project has added 17 suites to the existing 375 suites of the hotel. The hotel has 42 one-bedroom and three, two-bedroom suites. Five of the one bedroom suites are connected to a standard guest room, which makes them two-bedroom suites. Three suites feature a full kitchen.
