The brief given was to design the church as a platform for cultural development, arts and music in the community, besides being the communicator for the Christian message. It should be integrated with cultural facilities and administration.
RRA-designed church is placed in the terrain in a responsive and welcoming manner. The building is designed to respect and blend harmoniously into the landscape’s vegetation and topography.
The church and its al fresco spaces are conceived in such a manner as to become the central square in Knarvik. The design will allow the building to be a local venue for visitation and faith through the whole week. RRA has designed the structure as an inspiring place for gatherings that showcases respect for the Christian faith, people, climate and the environment.
