Spanish design studio Masquespacio has recently completed its design project La Manera, a gastrobar in the ancient city of Valencia.

The project sought to create a hospitality concept that could work by day and night, adaptable to each moment, starting with a brunch and coffee in the morning, and later transforming itself to a restaurant in the evening and ending the night as a cocktail bar.

The owner’s aim is to serve up first class food and beverages made of natural ingredients by renowned cocktail makers and coffee baristas. With natural materials at the core of the project, the existing building brick walls have been recovered, while a rusty finish has been added to the metallic elements on walls, lamps and the bar.

For the furniture metallic elements with the same rusty finish have been mixed with concrete, adding a touch of warmth through brown soft leather and cushions made of different fabrics.

The space also used lattice wall which helped add a touch of the Mediterranean to the restaurant, while the plants connect even more to the natural concept.

The interior elements of the building as well as the lighting all adapt to the restaurants’ needs at any time of the day making it a fantastic venue to have a spot of lunch or evening cocktail.
