The table has been designed by London designer Samuel Wilkinson. It is made of solid oak and dons a deep brushed surface. The leg ends of the piece are sharpened at the feet. This replicates the trimming of a horse’s hoof before being shod, from which the table derives its name.

The sharpening of the legs of the furniture is similar to a knife trimmed pencil. The table is first painted and then trimmed. This exposes the solid wood construction at its feet, hence creating a contrast with the remaining painted portion of the item. The piece is available in dimensions of 500x500mm as well as 900x400mm. It also offers options of five shades which include grey, black, natural, white-pigmented oil, and light blue.

The table is being showcased at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair to be held from 7 to 11 February 2012 in Stockholm, Sweden.
