The vessel has been designed by Viareggio Division Style, a design department of SanLorenzo. The superyacht has been built using steel and aluminium and boasts several features and details of her predecessor.
These features include the stern beach club, a large lateral tender garage, a toy garage below the foredeck and the lower deck housing technical and service areas. The superyacht has three decks – the main deck, the upper deck and the sky lounge. All of this is made of aluminium.
The displacement hull consist of two more decks; the lower deck, which incorporates the guests and crew cabins, and the under-lower deck where the technical and service zones are located. Unlike the three decks, the displacement hull is made of steel.
The design team has created a large hull with a bulbous bow and an open stern, which has resulted in spacious interiors. The boat is powered by twin CAT 2,040 HP engines and will have a top speed of 17-knots.
Achilles will be showcased at the 2012 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS).
