Designed by architect Don Shell, the renovation includes a new two-story Ninth Grade Academy, creating up to 28 additional classrooms, and 177-thousand square feet of new space.
It is also planned that the school’s 19-hundred seat basketball gymnasium will be replaced with a larger one. This project does not include the construction of the football stadium in the Science Hill campus.
Specifications for bids are expected to go out in April 2010. Though Don Shell expects it to be completed by September 2011, it is expected that it will be completed by January 2012.
