The proposed headquarters will be a 14-storey office block, which will be located in Glasgow City Centre on the corner of St Vincent Street and India Street. It will encompass an area of 220,000 square feet.
The new headquarters will offer space for approximately 1500 employees of the ScottishPower. The company intends to manage its entire UK operations from the new headquarters and will replace the three globally dispersed offices of the company in Cathcart, Yoker and Falkirk.
Construction on the facility is scheduled to begin in 2013, with completion scheduled for late 2015. Construction will be undertaken by Helical Bar plc., in association with its Scotland-based development partner Dawn Developments Limited.
