The Cat tunnel sofa has been designed in collaboration between Korean designer Yongjeh Park and Kangkyoung Lee.The design of the furniture routes inspiration to a shared furniture piece for humans and their pets, especially cats.
The sofa has a simple form, with a built-in playground for the cats. It features a long tunnel that runs from the armrest, back support and side of the sofa. Resembling a pipe, the tunnel serves as a good hiding place for cats. The sofa also addresses the space challenge witnessed in homes, which restricts the play area of the cats.
The sofa is still in its concept phase and is expected to enter the market in early 2013.
