Formerly a Marriott-branded hotel, the new Sheraton is located at 100 Capital Boulevard Rocky Hill in Connecticut and is close to downtown off of I-91. The hotel is currently undergoing a $6 million renovation project, which is likely to bring it in-line with the offerings of a Sheraton-branded hotel.
Sheraton Hartford South Hotel will offer 251 guest rooms that are complete with Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed, a work desk, a chair, high-speed Internet, and a LCD flat panel television. The hotel also offers 8,600 square feet of meeting space featuring latest technology.
The renovation project will also add a Sheraton Club Lounge, and renovate dining and bar areas, and fitness facility of the existing hotel. The dining options of the new Sheraton will consist of Allie’s American Grille that boasts a casual environment and serves American cuisine.
The opening is part of the Sheraton brand’s strategic $5 billion expansion effort. The new hotel is also the second Sheraton in the Hartford metropolitan area.
