Silver State organizes their collections among two primary brands: SilverState fabrics and Alaxi. Tommy Bahama is a Seattle-based luxury clothing and accessories maker and licenser.
Manoli Sargetakis, a principal of Silver State states, “We are introducing the collection through our elegant, exclusive Aláxi brand. The collection is smaller, more focused and the motifs are more traditionally influenced.”
The Tommy Bahama Island Estate collection has been described by the designer as a journey through the travel diary of his favorite destinations. With each pattern, color and texture, a treasured moment from Tommy’s travelogue is recalled through a design interpretation. “Even in the most contemporary of settings, the Tommy Bahama Island Estate will add a classic timelessness,” adds Sargetakis.
Beach Comber, aptly named for its deep and lofty stripes, is like the grooved marks left by a rake on the beach sand. Moucharabie, Waterfall, Starry Night and Berbere are the visions of an oasis as seen through the patterned window screen illuminated by fountains, sand and sunrays. Giardini captures the graceful curves of a garden in Tuscany and Biretta takes its cues from a fountain’s mosaic, its pattern gently swaying under water. Cinema Tropical is one of the legendary Tommy Bahama’s own sketches and Postcard Home shows.
In keeping with its dedication to uphold the beauty of this performance fabric, every pattern in the new Island Estate collection is woven from 100% Alaxi Sunbrella fibers.
