For the 2012 Designer Visions, Hearst Magazines has partnered with developer El Ad Group to create three homes, which will be used as sets for six short films that will be made in the completed apartments as part of the first collaboration of Designer Visions with 48-Hour Film Project, a film making company.

The three publications of Hearst Design Group, namely ELLE DECOR, House Beautiful, and VERANDA; have partnered with interior designers to create three exquisite apartments in the luxury building of El Ad Group. Each apartment will reflect the magazines’ unique style and point of view. The shortlisted interior designers include Matthew Patrick Smyth for ELLE DÉCOR, David Rockwell for House Beautiful and Antony Todd for VERANDA. Each apartments will be used as a venue for two short films. The six films will be screened on 30 October 2012.

250 West Street is undergoing a transformation by El Ad Group. The scheme will offer 106 spacious condominium residences, which have been designed by Gal Nauer Architects. The development features two grand entryways with 10-feet high iron gates, a lobby with 24-hour concierge service, and a private library. The amenities area for the residents will spread over two levels and will include a dramatic backdrop of glass mosaic tiles overlooking a 61-feet pool, a sauna and an advanced fitness centre. The roof of the development will incorporate a 5,000-square-feet landscaped garden with a separate sundeck lounge and dining space, overlooking the river and city scape views of the Hudson River.

El Ad Group is offering more than 30 distinct layouts for the residences at 250 West Street. The layout varies from open lofts to four plus bedroom homes. The well-lit homes feature up to 13 feet high ceiling, spacious living, entertainment and family spaces. The residents can also benefit from the 1906 Neo-Italianate building, which is located directly across from Hudson River Park’s newly completed Pier 25, and offers several outdoor activities such as a landscaped waterfront esplanade and lawn, kayaking, volleyball and a separate children’s play area.
