The project will offer 70 houses and 58 apartments. The single-family homes will be a mix of three and four bedroom units, while apartments will be a mix of one and two bedroom units, and two bedroom duplex apartments.
The homes will be noted for their unique architecture, which will hint of Scandinavian style of housing that will intersect with English architectural style. The homes will feature unfussy brick facades, and tall, recessed windows. The front door will be sheltered. Skanska has also added some greenery on roof terraces, which completes the look of the houses.
A fabric-first approach was adopted for the construction of Seven Acres scheme. All the properties of the scheme are equipped with the insulation and energy-efficient technologies required to meet levels 4 and 5 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.Landscaped swales, green roofs and mini allotments have also been introduced to add to the green quotient of the homes.
Seven Acres is part of the wider Great Kneighton development in Trumpington, Cambridge.
