The new terminal building is located at 902 W. Ludwig Road, and has been built to improve the customer experience at the general aviation airport. The old terminal building which was 35 years old was in dire need of renovation as it lacked space needed to serve customers.

The new terminal features a customer service counter inside the airfield entrance, a multi-purpose room for meetings and trainings seminars, new office space, and 24-hour restrooms. Other amenities include a patio area with front row seats to the airfield and a new aircraft fueling area.

The fueling area is equipped with new pumps and digital LED displays, making it easier for pilots and other airport customers to use the equipment. The fuel tanks have also been placed above ground, which enables easy inspections and maintenance.

The new terminal building would also be used by Sweet Aviation, the airfield’s flight instruction and aircraft rental operator. There will be significant hangar and office space for ground school classes and aircraft maintenance services.

A ribbon-cutting and open house ceremony will be held at the facility on 17 June 2013.
