The 5,000 square foot facility will replace GSP’s existing terminal after a portion of the building’s roof collapsed during a heavy rainstorm in 2007.
The new terminal will feature modern touches, using mostly recycled materials in construction, and rainwater collectors, day lighting and a solar water heater.
Construction of the new terminal is expected to start by April 1, 2009, and will continue through December.
