Spring Air executive Ed Bates announced the re-launch, which is to be headed by Rick Robinson, the former senior vice president of marketing for Consolidated.
The Spring Air International brand has acquired complete ownership of the Spring Air-brand mattresses across the world and will now distribute it through a fresh licensee distribution network. This will see the organization of former company licensees and other US mattress producers.
Ed Bates has acquired the global rights of Spring Air subsidiaries through Spring Air International LLC. The new company’s office, located in the Boston area, is slated for a June 19 opening.
Back Supporter and Chattam & Wells lines, will also be a part of the re-launch. Nature’s rest was also attained by Bates through another entity.
Spring Air independent licensees in Cameron, South Carolina, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Greensboro, North Carolina, are amongst the Spring Air US distribution. Former facilities in Boston, Atlanta and Columbus, and Ohio have also been opened and are functioning as independent licensees.
Two mattress licensees of Canada, Restwell Mattress and Spring Air Sommex in Vancouver, and manufacturing facilities in Quebec, Toronto and Winnipeg have now become a part of Spring Air International.
Spring Air is all set to extend its licensee reach to Australia, India, Indonesia, Israel, Ireland, Korea and Mexico. It also has plans to add other US mattress producers to its list of distributors.
