The new brand features a bar in the open lobby, grab-and go café, loft-like guest rooms and industrial design elements throughout its vicinity, which speaks of a modern, urban design. Aloft Abu Dhabi has 408 loft-like rooms, a game area where guests can play pool, a restaurant, a fitness centre and a splash pool. Alternate dining options are provided by indoor and outdoor lounges, which also have tapas and sushi for sale. The fifth floor of the hotel features a café which has beach chairs and serves cocktails.

The exterior of the hotel also sports a distinctive style with a colorful, sloping carport cover and glowing linear lighting. The new hotel is linked to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), the Gulf’s largest exhibition center which is in the Capital Center district – a micro-city consisting of office towers, hotels and residences, restaurants, shopping and a marina.

The opening of Aloft Abu Dhabi shows the strategic international expansion of the Aloft brand. The company opened its first hotel in June 2008 in Canada and has since then opened 40 more in the United States, China, Canada and United Arab Emirates. Aloft plans further expansion to Belgium, India and Thailand. Aloft Riyadh scheduled for a 2011 opening, would be the second Aloft in the Middle East.
