Located in Greater Chicago directly adjacent to Oakbrook Center, the 10-storey hotel will combine timeless, chic design with sophisticated offerings.
Mirroring style and sophistication of metropolitan Chicago, the new hotel will attract both the business and leisure travelers. Following the renovation, the new Le Méridien Chicago – Oakbrook Center will feature new outer façade, a new arrival experience and completely re-imagined public spaces.
The ninth floor of the property will feature a new bar and restaurant concept with a variety of meeting spaces. It will also feature a spacious as well as well-equipped roof-top terrace fitness centre to provide more luxury elements to the guests.
To offer a distinct and compelling experience to the guests, the hotel’s 172 rooms and suites, including a presidential suite and two spa suites, will be refurbished and feature the signature Le Méridien Bed.
The Le Méridien Chicago – Oakbrook Center will feature the transformed traditional lobby as a social gathering place with creative atmosphere where contemporary, curated artwork sets the environment.
In order to provide an award-winning arrival experience and coffee culture, the hub will be decorated with art work. It will also feature Unlock Art programme, which will include LM100 artist-designed key card collections that will offer access to the guestroom and to the Le Méridien affiliated contemporary cultural centres in the city. In addition to that the hotel will also feature a 24-hour soundtrack curated by Sans.
The hotel is scheduled to open in January 2014.
