STENTOFON – Zenitel UK, industry leader in fixed line audio communications, is pleased to announce the next generation of IP intercom systems – the STENTOFON AlphaCom Evolution. It will be launched at ASIS, the world’s largest security show, in September.
This new IP intercom solution is an integrated audio and video platform that can interface with a company’s telecommunications infrastructure. It provides voice, image and data links using standard Ethernet architecture to bring all streams into one cohesive solution. Standard VoIP protocols encode the audio and TCP/IP is used throughout to provide compatibility with existing routers and VLAN equipment.
AlphaCom Evolution is fully compatible with the current AlphaCom system, adding the latest IP and networking technologies to a proven and highly reliable platform. The strengths of AlphaCom are retained – high quality audio, stability and reliability, and user friendliness – while the core of the system becomes “native IP”. Furthermore, the powerful event handler and system configuration programs are retained so that existing installations can be upgraded to IP operation without changing their design. The existing range of stations may also be used so that customers can capitalise on existing equipment and competence.
Where communication and security is of vital importance, AlphaCom has proved to be very efficient. STENTOFON systems are currently used at Capitol Hill (Washington D.C.), by the CNN Centre, Microsoft Campus, Smithsonian, Federal Reserve Banks, Beijing International Airport and across the world.
