Named as Najmat Al-Reem Arabic Academy and Najmat Al-Reem International Academy, the two new academics will provide school education from kindergarten to grade 12 and foundation stage to sixth Form respectively, for approximately 2,000 students each.
Designed as a contemporary urban development, the new academies will focus on providing fresh, modern and dynamic learning environment.
The concept, which allows building functions to be broken down into legible architectural components, has been adopted in the design. The facades of each academy have been designed with modern interpretations, which reflect and complement their different character and identity. A signature framed canopy sails over and defines the components on the focal elevation of each academy. The design also include the use of fresh and light colour accents as well as durable and sustainable materials.
Advanced Education Services, LLC have engaged Company for British Teachers (CfBT) as operators for both schools. Both academies are due to open in September 2014.
