The new crystal snowflake ornament made by Swarovski is designed to adorn homes in time for Christmas. The initiative will also provide an opportunity to help change the lives of children and young people worldwide.
For each miniature snowflake sold, Swarovski will donate 40% to the UNICEF. The funds will provide 10 families with water containers that allow them to store water safely and save journeys to and from the water pump.
About 25 million people die from diseases caused by unsafe drinking water and a lack of water for sanitation and basic hygiene. More than half of these deaths are amongst children. The miniature snowflake ornaments will be sold as a memorable gift at Harvey Nichols, Harrods and the Swarovski Crystallized store throughout the holiday period.
