The stadium is owned and operated by South Dublin County Council with Shamrock Rovers FC as the anchor tenants. The purpose built, state-of-the-art facility has completed phase one construction.
The stadium opened its doors on March 13, 2009 when Shamrock Rovers hosted their first home game at the venue against Sligo Rovers.
The stadium can currently accommodate 3,300 people and the capacity will be increased after the construction of the second stand is finished by mid 2009.
After the completion of the project, the stadium will be able to hold 7,000 spectators.
The project has reserved provision for adding a third and fourth stand which will potentially add another 4,000 seats, taking the capacity to over 10,000 people.
