Ceylan, designed primarily for luxury cruises around the Mediterranean, features large open decks and facilities on the exterior. Naval architect Kerim Acar has worked in collaboration with the in-house design team of Tansu to create the interior and exterior design of the yacht by incorporating feedbacks from the clients.
Ceylan is designed to accommodate 10 guests in five cabins and a crew of seven. The guest area and crew area is separated by different staircases. The crew area features a laundry, a crew mess, cold room and drinks, and six beds.
The central exterior design of the yacht features a lazarette on the aft alongside exposed tenders. The lazarette is designed to store diving and technical equipments. The exposed tenders are designed to be ideal for island hopping as Ceylan is intended to be used mostly in South Turkey and the Greek Islands.
A 10-seat open-air dining unit is featured on the main deck, besides a formal dining in the salon. The open air dining space is designed to allow guests to enjoy the weather in a shade. The salon is equipped with two B&B Italia couches, a formal dining table and a widescreen TV.
The upper deck of Ceylan features a large lounge unit and a bar with an auxiliary galley. There is a dedicated captain’s cabin while an extra storage space is located towards the bow.
Ceylan motor yacht is engineered to reach a maximum speed of 16 knots powered by twin Caterpillar C32 1300hp diesel engines. Stern and bow thrusters ensure enhanced maneuverability.
Tansu Yachts another yacht in the pipeline, Nomade motor yacht, is due to be launched in October 2010. The two yachts are quite similar except for length. The 36.4m Nomade is extended by 1.2 meters to accommodate larger tenders.
Tansu is a Yacht Design studio focusing on exterior styling, interior design and design consultancy services.
