The Swedish studio Form Us With Love (FUWL) has designed a new Lounge version of the Dais chair for Kilhauer.
The product is a classic-inspired soft work chair. This design caters to quick tasks, deep focus, informal meetings, and coffee breaks or relaxation.
Moulding, bending and machining techniques inspired by classic veneer bending, were utilised to create a shape that follows the human silhouette.
The curvature of Dais’s legs matches the chair’s arm corners, creating a clean, continuous profile from arm to floor.
Dais’s thick seat cushion is lined with a piping detail and created from a hollow structure. The chair is zero carbon neutral.
‘While designing Dais, we knew we wanted to create a warm and inviting product that could be placed in a wide variety of environments,’ said John Löfgren, co-founder, FUWL.
‘This chair has a contrast of maximalism and minimalism – a sophisticated mid-century vibe – as well as a playful side.’
