KI has launched Sebel, a chair manufactured entirely from post-consumer waste, including food, beverage and toiletry packaging.

Each chair prevents 4.5kg of waste plastic from entering landfill. Sebel contains no industrial cut-offs, colourants or additives, and is available in a colour called Grey-dient, resulting in slight variations in shade due to the recycled material.

Sebel is suitable for learning environments. It features polypropylene legs that can support up to 220kg, a waterfall seat edge, a curved backrest for lumbar support, and a built-in window for ventilation.

Sebel is also lightweight, antistatic and stain-resistant. It is produced using a one-piece injection moulding process that eliminates finger traps, loose parts and gaps. The chair can be stacked up to 12 high, with an integrated handle for lifting and an optional trolley for transport.

Sebel comes with a 25-year warranty and has been tested to British and European education furniture standard BS1729.
