Silen, the Estonia-based manufacturer of office pods, has launched a new biophilic-inspired add-on tech for its products.
Named Silen Zen, the addition of a touchscreen panel adds ambient lighting, private smart glass and immersive soundscapes like rainforest or ocean waves, to a standard pod, transforming it ‘into a relaxing environment’.
An escape from the open office noise and any interruptions, the pods offer customisable lighting and ergonomic furniture.
‘It’s always in our minds to not make our furniture and technology “too smart” or “too intelligent” as this involves regular updates and can create a lot more work in an office with multiple pods. We believe that technology should enhance the user experience, rather than become a hindrance,” explained Erik Silas, head of engineering at Silen.
