Stellar Works has unveiled the Frank armchair in collaboration with design group Layan.
Crafted from solid timber, the Frank armchair’s frame is finished to accentuate the natural grain and depth of the wood. Defined by clean lines and softly rounded edges, it features a gently curved backrest for ergonomic support, and a lightly cushioned but firm seat. It is designed to integrate into a range of settings, from formal to casual and modern to traditional.
The chair debuted internationally at Stellar Works’ 3daysofdesign showcase in Copenhagen during the summer.
Daisuke Hironaka, CEO of Stellar Works, said: ‘The Frank armchair is a welcome addition to Stellar Works’ portfolio, reinforcing our commitment to providing refined, design-led solutions for the hospitality sector. Its timeless aesthetic, crafted from authentic materials with meticulous attention to detail, ensures that it enhances a space and elevates the guest experience. Designed to integrate seamlessly across diverse interiors – from boutique hotels to grand lobbies – Frank embodies the balance of elegance, comfort, and durability that defines Stellar Works. In partnership with Layan, we continue to push the boundaries of hospitality design, creating pieces that resonate with both functionality and artistry.’
Johannes Hart, managing director at Layan, said: ‘As long as I have been interested in design and architecture, I have always been drawn to objects and buildings that are timeless and can age with character. Great design, like great architecture, transcends time. Frank is built to age gracefully, both in form and material.’
Hart added: ‘An object should have substance, a meaning that can last. Authentic materials speak for themselves. This sentiment inspires Layan’s design ethos and now of Frank. Each material is used for its true qualities – natural timber treated with immaculate craftsmanship and leather softly draping over this wooden frame to provide a comfortable experience and create a beautiful, elegant, and simple object that will be around for a long time to come.’
