The collection includes a Crested Comb-Back Chair, Sweetser Lamp and the Braid Dead Rug. The Crested Comb-Back Chair is a three-legged wooden chair featuring a dash of matte charcoal grey, or a light cream color that extends from the top to just below the seat.
The Sweetser Lamp is a woven lamp made in the tradition of the basketmaking Sweetser family of Northern New Hampshire. Solid ash legs incorporated into the weave transform the basket into a lampshade with a textile-covered cord.
The last item in the collection is the Braid Dead Rug, which is a mushroom-shaped, hand-braided wool mat that has been designed in the form of a colorful skull. Made of hand-laced wool, the rug is a combination of a modern pop icon paired with traditional technique. Made at the County Braid House in Tilton, the rug can be bought in customized colors.
The New New England collection is influenced by the traditional American craft aimed at connecting consumers with the source of their products. The collection also pays homage to New England’s classic heritage aesthetic and refined craftsmanship.
