The Hindu reported that work would include repairs, renovations and upgrades. Beds, roofs, toilets, floors and dados would receive attantions, while more lavatories would also be added.
A 20 bed male surgical ward would be converted into an intensive care unit at a cost of around INR1.19 million ($23,244). The operation theatre would also be renovated and repairs made to the ophthalmology block, kitchen and flooring. There will be additional repairs at the accident emergency ward and renovations at the entrance of the hospital.
