The resort, which is being hailed as ‘a return to the opulent, golden age of the Ottoman Empire’, has 560 rooms, including two Royal Suites with private pools.
With the main hotel resembling the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul, and bridges across the pool based on original designs of the Da Vinci Bridge, the architecture of the resort reflects Turkish heritage.
Developed by Telman Ismailov, chairman of AST, a Russian property developer, the resort also features a 7,500 square meter Mardan Spa, 17 bars and 10 a la carte restaurants – including French, Japanese, Russian, Thai and Turkish, five giant aquariums decorating the restaurants and spa, and an amphitheater with 900 seats.
The hotel also offers guests a chance to sail around the Mediterranean’s largest swimming pool in gondolas.
