The new Tortoise Rock Casino will be a boutique casino, which will be located just outside Palm Springs in the city of Twentynine Palms. Sprawling over a 160-acre site at Tribe’s Reservation in San Bernardino County, California, the new venue will be nestled between the Joshua Tree National Park and the United States Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, military training facility.

Tortoise Rock Casino will be a 30,000 square feet facility, which will offer gaming, retail, dining, entertainment, and office space. The casino will have 500 Class III slot machines, five table games, and two poker tables. The development would also include 450 paved surface parking spaces, a deli, bar, administrative offices and back-of-house areas.

The design of the casino will be sympathetic to the surrounding desert and will mimic it in a variety of ways, such as landscaping that is both beautiful and eco-friendly. The sustainable elements to be included in the landscape will consist of high-tech recycling and water-reclamation features.

It will take approximately nine months to build the casino, and is expected to cost $1.4 million. The development will create 100 full-time jobs in the region.
