The new Argento kitchen embraces the warmth and character of a hand built wooden kitchen as well as superior functionality of contemporary concept furniture. The furniture’s design incorporates the best features of both Linear forms with tactile finishes, super-efficient zoning, extra-wide deep drawers for pans and crockery, dedicated storage and solid, natural materials which stand the test of time.
The kitchens are both luxuriously sized and aesthetically refined. The material palette used consists of American Black Walnut, European Oak and hand-painted cabinetry finished with Underwood’s innovative hand-forged Wing handles.
The Argento kitchens are apt for both townhouse and country kitchen. All the kitchens are made-to-order, which enables the company to tailor an appropriate kitchen as per the requirements of the owner.
One of the available kitchen-range is a hand-painted kitchen, available in rich gunmetal to soft, pale grey hues. To complete the look, the company provides highly polished Cosmic Black granite tops, which also adds to the other reflective surfaces of the kitchen, consisting of mirror glass, stainless steel and chrome. It can alternately be paired with solid Walnut, which will give a warm counterpoint to the cool greys.
The handcrafted portions of the kitchen include reflective plinths and chamfered cornices with subtle mirror inlay detail. To further accentuate the handmade profile, the kitchens boast of slight convex curves that cut short the linear forms.
The company has carefully designed the inside of the kitchen, which is highly functional. The kitchens include customised, dedicated storage such as stainless steel lined storage drawers for dry goods. The company has used Walnut wood sliding top, which is hand carved with bespoke lettering. The solid Walnut drawers have a steel mesh base, which allows circulation of air to keep fruits and vegetables fresh.
The seating area of the kitchens amalgamates superior designing with craftsmanship. The seating is tucked inside the L-shaped central island. The seating area is made in Walnut, and to add a contemporary flavour, the designer has added natural grain detailing. The comfortable banquette seating also doubles as underseat storage.
The freestanding Walnut dining table reveals an inspiration from the style prevalent in the 30s decade. The dining table has a 40mm thick top and a column base, which gives more room for seating. The column base boasts of Argento’s signature detailing that appears in the form of elegant chamfered edges and slim mirror inlay. To further enhance its appeal, the company has used glass-fronted cabinets with mirror-backed that has recessed LED’s. The LEDs light the cabinet at all level and creates a lightbox kid of visual. The cabinet has two chunky glass shelves and two handmade walnut ‘bar racks’ that allows glasses to hang suspended.
