Framery, a manufacturer of soundproof office pods, has announced the appointment of Joonas Vartola as its new chief design officer.

Vartola – who was worked on projects for companies such as Tesla, SpaceX, Skydio and Mazda, and has collaborated with Framery since the company’s first smart pod, the Framery One – will oversee all facets of design as Framery expands its global presence.

Vartola will report to the CEO of Framery, Samu Hällfors.

‘Creating the chief design officer role and welcoming a talent of Joonas’s calibre is a natural evolution for us,’ said Hällfors. ‘As we continue our growth journey, our design excellence must remain second to none. Joonas’s proven ability to innovate on a global scale and seamlessly blend physical and digital experiences makes him the perfect fit for us.’

‘I’ve always been drawn to projects where the physical and digital worlds merge to create a truly seamless user experience,’ said Vartola. ‘This is exactly what Framery’s offering is about, and I’m particularly drawn to the scale of its mission. The opportunity to impact millions of workers and help turn thousands of ordinary offices into spaces people truly love is a design challenge of a different magnitude.’
