Village Pub in Barnsley employs Altro Stronghold products for renovation

Scope of work involved renovation of the six bedrooms and kitchen of the Village Pub. The décor of bedrooms has stylish modern touches that interjects with traditional influences. The renovation of the kitchen has delivered a modern, functional new kitchen area. It involved expansion of the space by removing a three-feet-thick stone wall and make a walk-through. The kitchen now boasts of new wiring, damp-proof membranes, flooring, wall cladding and kitchen equipment.

The new flooring and wall cladding has been created using Altro Stronghold 30 safety flooring and Altro Whiterock wall cladding. The Altro Whiterock wall cladding claims to provide superior quality, ease-in-cleaning, durability and colour-fastness. Altro Whiterock is a cost-effective product, which is made from a high quality, food-grade PVCu polymer and claims to display superior functionality even at high temperatures of up to 60o.

The company, before the installation of Altro Stronghold 30, lined the entire 120 square metre area with AltroProof Duo damp-proof membrane, which is a two component, solvent-free, high-build epoxy resin surface damp-proof membrane. It is applied as a two-coat system, providing protection for water sensitive floor coverings.

The company used AltroFix 19 Plus solvent and water-free adhesive to fix the flooring, as after curing, it becomes water resistant. The kitchen steps were fitted with Altro Stronghold 30 with metal nosings, and the floor was coved into the Altro Whiterock wall cladding for a seamless finish. All the products of Altro are quick and easy to install. The entire project was completed in a timeframe of two-weeks.

Altro Stronghold 30 is a 3mm-thick flooring , which has been specifically designed for safety in wet and greasy areas. The product boast highest rating for slip resistance. In addition, it also has certain acoustic properties, by virtue of which it aids in reducing noise. Altro Stronghold 30 also features a bacteriostat to inhibit the growth of bacteria, which adds to the hygiene quotient of the flooring.
