W South Beach hotel, unveiled by W Hotels Worldwide, has received more than 400,000 square feet of semi-precious stone, granite, quartzite, ceramic tile, and marble installations on all guestroom flooring, walls, bathrooms, kitchens, the restaurant, ballroom, nightclub, bars, lounges, public bathrooms, terraces, and lobby areas installed by Italbec.
The new 408-unit condo hotel’s lobby displays a mix of fabrics, furnishings, and finishes, highlighting the intricate detailing and book-matching of massive slabs of marbles and stones.
The massive stone installation work was completed in less than 18 months by over 200 stone and ceramic craftsmen.
Italbec is a privately held stone and installation company in Florida, with a project roster that includes hotels and spas, academic institutions, medical facilities, and private residences.
