The new Impulse is a solid die-cast aluminum luminaire, which is offered in a variety of colour temperatures and optics, as well as professional lighting accessories. The Impulse lighting has been upgraded with high output LED technology, which claims to render superior thermal management including higher heat dissipation.
The new lighting is Energy Star-Qualified and offers a CRI (color rendering index (CRI) of 80. The lighting claims to deliver high efficacy of up to 49 lumens per watt and provides lighting of more than 1000 lumens—950 lumens at 2700K, 1020 lumens at 3000K, 1010 lumens at 3500K and 1030 lumens at 4000K.
The new Impulse, in comparison with a 50-watt MR16 fixtures, is said to deliver higher lumen and consumes almost 60% less power. The LEDs used in the Impulse Track Luminaires have a lifespan of 50,000-hour. The product is ANSI (American National Standards Institute) compliant and claims to offer finest colour consistency and quality.
The company has used unique multi-chip technology for Impulse, which improves its thermal management. The upgraded version has a centralised light source with one replaceable LED module. The light also comes with an option of two different types of reflector optics, a 28-degrees spot reflector and 45-degrees flood beam spreads.
The luminaires has an electronic low-voltage dimmer, which can dim the light to 1%. They can operate on both WAC line voltage track systems, as well as on tracks by other manufacturers. The product is available in three finishes, namely Brushed Nickel, Dark Bronze and White.
The luminaries can be clubbed with other lighting accessories, such as a Framing Projector that provides precise focus adjustment to project images and highlight artwork and wall décor, as well as an adjustable Barn Door Louver attachment for optimal glare control. The manufacturer is offering five-year warranty on the product.
