Lynch + Comisso: Architecture + Light was the lighting designer of the project. The entire studio has been equipped with the firm’s 3” Open Reflector halogen recessed luminaires. These recessed downlights are made of die cast aluminium and feature a 25-degree adjustable beam angle. The downlight trims come in an abrasion-proof powder coat white. The luminaires utilise a 50-watt MR16 lamp which help generate a clean, white ambient light. The lights are efficient in performance as well as offers the ceiling an architectural look.
The treatment rooms of the facility have incorporated Button Lights of WAC Lighting which are formed of steel. The lights comprise a low profile and shallow depth to ease installation below cabinet areas. They make use of 20-watt bi-pin xenon lamps to reduce energy usage and yet offer a strong task lighting beam.
The new building also sports WAC’s InvisiLED Classic tape lights possessing a 3500K colour temperature. The lights have been fitted in the millwork of the narrow shelving to produce optimal task lighting. Use of cool LED fixtures in this space facilitates the heat sensitive health and beauty products. The tape lights don white tone and consume two watts per foot. The luminaires have a lifespan of 50,000 hours, allow easy installation, and are virtually invisible.
