Designed by Dallas-based architect Womack + Hampton, the Alta Harvest Station Apartments will be located at the southeast corner of Wadsworth Boulevard and 118th Avenue, which will serve the Interlocken business hub.
Sprawling over 13.75 acres, the new apartment community is a 283, 175 square feet, three-storied gated community project. Consisting of 13 buildings, the Alta Harvest Station will house 175 one-bedroom units, 107 two-bedroom units and 15 three-bedroom units averaging 940 square feet. The homes will feature covered staircases, which will provide access from the interior (front) and street-facing (rear) elevation.
It will also feature 611 parking spaces and 145 private attached garages. To minimise visibility from public streets, the garages will be featured in the first two floors of the buildings, which will be accessed from within the development.
In addition to that, the project will include 1.4 acres of public land dedication, part of which will be developed into a one-acre pocket park near Wadsworth and 118th Avenue. Other common outdoor areas, which will be included in the community are a resort pool, outdoor fireplace, great lawn courtyard, a dog park and wash, bicycle repair shop and a plaza with seating and water features.
The apartment community will also feature half an acre urban trail along the east and south edges of the development, which connects the planned future light rail stop and a pedestrian route to and from the RTD Regional Transit Station at W. 116th Avenue.
It will also feature a resort-style private pool and clubhouse in the immediate east of the public park. Providing an array of amenities to the home dwellers, the new apartment community will feature state-of-the-art fitness centre equipped with free weights, cardio and strength machines, yoga and spin areas and a stretching area with flat-panel TV displays.
Residents can also meditate in various types of meditation rooms like yoga/serenity room and Japanese meditation area. In addition to that, it features business/office centre with wireless Internet, grilling area with flat-panel TV displays, dog wash and bicycle workshop.
Including stucco, cast stone and fiber-cement-siding exterior, Alta Harvest Station exhibits a post modernistic urban theme in its design. The project is scheduled to be completed in February 2014.
